Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation (MARF) or The Meso Foundation is the only non-profit organization that collaborating patients, families, physicians, researchers, and advocates with dedication to ending mesothelioma and vicious effects of the deadly cancer. In order to reduce the suffering and burden of people with mesothelioma and their families, the foundation continuously giving support with up to date information and education about the disease, the treatment, as well as moral and legal aspect. It is heartbreaking that the cure of mesothelioma has not been found yet. However, Meso Foundation is believed that someday, the cure to mesothelioma would be found. Therefore, they keep up funding and researching until they accomplish the ultimate goal.

In Meso Foundation, all stakeholders are working hand in hand in giving hope to all patients and families to live with mesothelioma so the burden and suffering due to the disease could be reduce to the minimum as possible. The support given by Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation are including giving emotional support and giving education about the disease so patient and family know what exactly the disease is, the available treatments, and feel more secure because they are not alone. The organization is also offering help to connect patient with meso specialists and provide assistance in finding the most suitable treatment that match each individual condition.
The organization continuously supports and encouraging researchers advancing mesothelioma science, developing treatment that is more effective, and ultimately a cure. In order to accomplish their ultimate goal of finding the cure of mesothelioma, Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation continuously support mesothelioma research projects, not only in domestic area but also in projects from all around the world. It has been reported that more than 9 millions dollars have been granted to various studies and researches about mesothelioma and asbestos around the world. Apart of funding researches from their own foundation, Meso Foundation is also advocating federal funding of mesothelioma research. With continuous research, it is not possible that someday, the cure would be found.
The foundation is also actively campaigning mesothelioma to increase public awareness to the disease. Mesothelioma is rare disease but today, the number of patients with mesothelioma is increasing. Asbestos industries have taken it toll. Asbestos are the common cause of mesothelioma and many workers in the industries who have been exposed by asbestos years ago starting to develop mesothelioma. Meso Foundation has been advocating public and private sectors to work together in order to stop the global tragedy of mesothelioma. Meso Foundation’s Symposium is also held annually as part of foundation effort to end mesothelioma. In this annual symposium of Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation, the entire community of mesothelioma (patients, medical experts, researchers, and advocates) is conferencing to share reports, information, ideas, and everything about mesothelioma.
